Boardwalk Cafe 20 year deal stands

The results of a city council vote today means Tuggs Inc. will continue to enjoy exclusive rights to food and beverage sales in the Beaches.

Councillors voted 22-19 against re-opening the issue of the exclusive deal, even though some community members said the offer should be put up to competition.

Councillor Francis Nunziata told the Sun she was disappointed with the decision. "You're never sure until the vote's taken because there's a lot of arm twisting and threats done," she said. "That's the decision of council and we have to live by it."

I guess you win, Sandra Bussin. You win...
