Harbourfront Summer: from the 'Peg

This Saturday, Harbourfront Centre continues it's excellent summer festival lineups with "From The Peg", highlighting the 'wonder that is Winnipeg' with bands The Waking Eyes (8 pm) and the Weakerthans (9:30 pm).

Sure, there will be good times and great rock. But wait, THERE'S MORE:

It might be too "-ist" of me to link Stillepost, but hell, this shit's too good so I'm gonna do it: In a brilliant "anti-'Peg" sentiment, a Stilleposter is proposing attendees show up to the various 'Peg shows in demonic do-it-youself Burton Cummings (Winnipeg's favoured Guess Who) masks. "These eyes,.. cry every night for you" - and may very well scare the crap out of the Weakerthans.

I'll be snapping - and I suspect a mask would get in the way of my viewfinder - but I love zen protests, so here's hoping my Weakerthans photos will include a sea of zombie-faced Burton Cummings(es).
