Spring always feels like the right time for a reset, especially when it comes to beauty.
My routine was due for a refresh, so I knew I needed to set out to restock the essentials. But what I didn't know is I'd find everything I needed (and then some) at my local Walmart.
What was meant to be a simple restock — cleanser, moisturizer, maybe a face mask or two — quickly turned into a full basket of skincare and makeup I hadn’t originally planned on but couldn’t leave behind.
From Korean skincare to trending brands and trusted staples, the selection in-store was wide and thoughtfully curated. Plus, the knowledgeable staff were happy to help me find what I was looking for or recommend items, which made the experience even better.
Here are some of the things I picked up and how I've been using them.
After checking out, I was excited to try everything I had just purchased. The reset began that night with the Vitamasques Cleansing Oil — a gentle oil-to-milk formula that melted into my skin and rinsed clean.
From there, I reached for the Daily Supercalm Cleanser, a New Zealand-made product that was light, nourishing and ideal for a second cleanse. Double cleansing is a must if you want to thoroughly remove sunscreen, makeup, and anything else. It makes for a deeper clean and prevents clogged pores and acne, resulting in healthier, more radiant skin.
Next I used the Vegan "Snail Mucin" Plant Serum, which is made using potent botanical extracts. Patting it into the face, it quickly created that soft, plump look. This product was really unique and intrigued me when I saw it on the shelf. I've been seeing "snail mucin" all over TikTok, but as someone who aims to use only cruelty-free products, I'd never tried it. I definitely did not expect to find a vegan version at Walmart!
Finally, I used the Vitamasques Glazing Milk Moisturizer, which contains squalane for a dewy, almost reflective finish, and the Vitamasques Brighten & De-puff Illuminating Eye Cream Eye Serum, which is especially formulated to revive tired eyes. Hello glow!
Sheet masks have always been my shortcut to looking like I have my life together, and the Grace Day Hello Morning Hyaluronic Acid masks deliver that exact energy. The best part? You only need to leave them on for 60 seconds to let them work their magic!
This product also comes in Vitamin C and Retinol, all in packs of 30, so depending on your skin concern, you'll always have a face mask ready to go. Cooling, hydrating, and perfect for a quick moisture boost or prepping the skin before makeup, they left my skin noticeably smoother by the time I peeled it off.
Another face mask option I had to pick up was the affordable THE FACE SHOP At Home Aesthetics Original Vegan Collagen Mask, a Korean hydrogel mask with peptides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid for elasticity and moisturizing.
Meanwhile, MEDIHEAL Collagen Eye Patches are great for a quick brightening and tightening of the eye area before getting ready, and the Vitamasques Lip Mask Coconut Flavour Plump & Repair became an immediate staple — easy, hydrating, and smells amazing. I'll be keeping it within reach at all times.
I'm not the type of person that wears full-on glam makeup every day, but one non-negotiable for me is a good lip combo. And Walmart had everything I needed.

The NYX Line Loud Lip Pencil and Lip Lingerie Lip Liner Stain come in shades from barely there to deep and bold, and made for seamlessly sculpted lips. Another epic find was the NYX Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Serum, a great option for an all-over lip colour that lasts all day. Seriously.
For complexion, the NYX Make ‘Em Wonder Foundation provided a dewy, real-skin finish, while the super-pigmented NYX Buttermelt Blush added a pop of colour and blended seamlessly. I finished by shaping my brows with NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil — et voila! The perfect every day, low-key makeup look.
So there you have it, a fully stocked skincare and makeup routine with some indulgent extras, all from my local Walmart. And this is only a taste of what you can discover in-store.
