4 things you need to know before visiting this Toronto coffee pop-up

Summertime means lots of social plans, and that calls for a caffeine boost.

Nespresso is bringing a new pop-up experience to Toronto with The Coffee Room by Nespresso, a social-club-style activation designed to turn everyday coffee rituals into a moment of exploration and discovery.

Rolling out across the country this summer, the experience lands in Toronto for a four-day takeover from July 9 to 12 at 938 Queen St. West.

Here are four things you need to know.

What to expect

Inside the pop-up, visitors can explore a series of uniquely styled coffee stations, each one designed like its own creative universe.

From vintage moments (curated in collaboration with Canadian-based curator Le Centerpiece) to beautifully designed setups featuring cutting-edge Nespresso machines and accessories, the space is all about sparking ideas you can bring back into your own  home and coffee corner. Select vintage pieces will even be available to purchase.

You can take the experience home

Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Nespresso experience without the coffee itself! Guests can sample limited-edition summer coffees with refreshing iced creations, and discover new ways to enjoy their daily brew.

The three signature iced beverages will showcase three favourite summer blends, including Yuzu Vanilla Over Ice, Coconut Vanilla Over Ice, and Nespresso x Oatly Barista Edition.

And in case you want to recreate these delicious drinks at home, here are the details:

Yuzu and Vanilla Coffee Fizz

  1. Fill a glass with ice, leaving about a quarter of the glass empty.
  2. Add 2 pumps of yuzu purée.
  3. Pour in the soda until the glass is almost full.
  4. Extract one capsule of the Yuzu Vanilla Over Ice blend on top.
  5. Add a slice of lemon and serve.

Toasted Coconut Iced Cloud Latte

  1. Add 2 pumps of coconut syrup and pour milk until the glass is a quarter full.
  2. Froth using the Nanofoamer milk device until smooth and creamy for about 30 seconds.
  3. Fill a glass with ice, leaving about quarter of the glass empty.
  4. Extract one capsule of the Coconut Vanilla Over Ice blend using the Creation mode.
  5. Top with toasted coconut flakes before serving.

Chilled Strawberry Double Espresso

  1. Fill a glass with ice, leaving about a quarter of the glass empty.
  2. Add 2 pumps of strawberry purée.
  3. Pour in the milk until the glass is almost full.
  4. Extract one capsule of  Nespresso Oatly Barista Edition blend   on top and serve.
It's a place and a time to chill

The Coffee Room isn’t just about sipping, though. It's also about slowing down, socializing, and just hanging out.

A rotating lineup of daily activities will include everything from crochet sessions and morning runs to live musical interludes and surprise programming. All of this is designed to bring people together in unexpected ways and encourage self-expression.

Programming includes a DJ set by the one and only Charlotte  Day Wilson, a crochet workshop by Loosends, a book swap atelier with author and book-lover Jananie K. Velu, and more.

The full schedule can be found by visiting the Nespresso website.

Freebies for coffee fans

And for the early risers, there’s a little extra incentive: the first 50 visitors each day will receive a complimentary iced coffee tumbler — the perfect accessory to accompany summer days on-the-go.

Ready for a first sip? Head down to Queen St. West during the pop-up and experience coffee in a whole new way.
