casa 73 toronto

Italian restaurant opening in high profile Toronto location

A new Italian restaurant is gearing up to open its doors at a high-traffic location in Toronto this March.

Casa 73 will be nestled inside WaterPark Place by Oxford Properties at 20 Bay St., just steps away from Scotiabank Arena and Union Station.

The family-run restaurant, which will focus on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, will be opening around the same time as Harbour 60's grand reopening just across the street.

The menu will include appetizers like house bruschetta, baked eggplant parmigiana, and beef carpaccio, alongside jumbo Italian meatballs slow-braised in red wine, and burrata with roasted beets and grilled focaccia.

Pasta lovers will have an array of options to choose from, including the butternut squash ravioli with maple butter, wild mushroom risotto, and lobster ravioli. The menu also features inventive creations like gnocchi poutine with slow-braised boneless beef short rib ragu.

For mains, the restaurant will serve up a variety of steaks and proteins, including grilled lamp chops, veal piccata, grilled Atlantic salmon, and veal chop bolognese.

The restaurant's cocktail menu will also embrace lots of classic drinks like the old fashioned, Aperol spritz, and a variety of martinis, from classic to espresso and lychee.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, Casa 73 is expected to open its doors sometime in March.
