This mobile Toronto coffee bar has secretly fuelled some of TV's most popular shows
You may not know it, but a mobile coffee cart in Toronto may have subtly supplied the energy and amplitude of some of your favourite TV shows.
Ask any actor, PA, or director, and they'll tell you that, aside from committing a story to screen, the second-best part of being on set is craft services: the food and beverage offerings for production members.
It only makes sense that Toronto, being the culinary epicentre and Hollywood satellite that it is, would have some particularly mean crafty options, and one local mobile coffee cart is, seemingly, among the most popular.
Founded by business partners Monica Mustelier and Joshua English, Little Havana Cafe was initially an endeavour meant to bring a piece of Cuba's community-oriented coffee culture to Canada.
While serving a range of Cuban coffee, treats, and drinks from an aesthetically pleasing vintage trailer for most of the past decade, they've clearly achieved that goal; Mustelier and English have also found an interesting niche for their business.
Little Havana Cafe has also been responsible for keeping casts and crews caffeinated on several of the productions that have most put Toronto on the map as a filming destination over the past few years.
Television productions Little Havana Cafe has set up shop on include "The Handmaid's Tale", "The Boys", "Umbrella Academy", "Reacher", "Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent", "Tell Me Lies", and "Wayward", and that's only scratching the surface.
So, yeah, basically every major television production that's been filmed in Toronto in the past five years.
Little Havana Cafe has even supplied beverages and bites to some big-screen productions, too. The cart recently spent time on the set of Sarah Polley's adaptation of The Bell Jar, which filmed in Toronto over the spring of 2026, as well as Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" in winter 2025.
You don't have to be a small-screen star to try Little Havana Cafe's offerings for yourself, though. When it's not servicing film and television productions around the city, the coffee cart is available for private rentals and catering.
Sometimes — if you're really lucky — Little Havana Cafe also makes appearances at events, activations and festivals, too.
