Christmas Eve and holiday hours for the LCBO in Ontario

Knowing the 2024 LCBO Christmas and holiday hours for the season is essential for planning ahead on stocking up your liquor cabinet for your upcoming parties and get-togethers — though we do have the added benefit of buying booze from gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores in Ontario this year.

LCBO stores across Ontario will be operating on different hours for different holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, so it's integral to stay on top of the ball and plan ahead for your booze shopping.

Here are the LCBO Christmas and holiday hours for 2024.

  • Dec. 24: Most LCBO stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Use the LCBO's store locator to find out the hours of your nearest location.
  • Dec. 25: All LCBO stores will be closed on Christmas Day, but some LCBO Convenience Outlets in permitted municipalities may be open with reduced hours.
  • Dec. 26: Select LCBO stores will be open on Boxing Day.  Use the LCBO's store locator to find out which you can visit.
  • Dec 31: Most LCBO stores will close at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Use the LCBO's store locator to find out the hours of your nearest location.
  • Jan 1: All LCBO stores will be closed on New Year's Day, but some LCBO Convenience Outlets in permitted municipalities may be open with reduced hours.
