Ask any Toronto resident where midtown begins and ends, and you're almost guaranteed to get a different answer every time.
blogTO hit the streets to ask people a simple question: What do you consider the borders of midtown Toronto? The answers were all over the map — just like when we asked people to define the borders of 'downtown.'
One person confidently defined midtown as stretching from Eglinton Avenue in the north to Bloor Street in the south, with Bathurst Street on the west and Bayview Avenue on the east.
Another person who admitted they work in commercial real estate told us midtown starts at Bloor Street, extends all the way north to Lawrence Avenue, with Dufferin Street and Bayview Avenue serving as the west and east boundaries.
People in our comment section seemed to agree with that take, writing "The second guy's answer was perfect," which racked up hundreds of likes in support.
While most agree that Yonge and Eglinton is "the heart of it," people on the street all seemed to argue for very different midtown borders.
