Tens of thousands of German soccer fans took over Toronto over the weekend to cheer on their country in the FIFA World Cup.
And considering the country's reputation for efficiency and precision, we just had to ask them what they thought of the often-chaotic public transit situation in Toronto.
Here's what Germans had to say about Toronto transit.

One interesting fact we learned is that Germans aren't accustomed to fare gates, suggesting German transit agencies actually trust passengers to pay their fares. That probably wouldn't fly in Toronto.
One visitor described our transit as "punctual" and surprisingly claimed that this is not the case back in Germany.
However, another visitor pointed out that Frankfurt, a city just a fraction the size of Toronto, has 15 rapid transit lines, far outpacing Toronto's handful of subways and LRTs. He also noted transit is roughly half the price in Frankfurt, seemingly unimpressed with the bang-for-buck of TTC fares.
Do you think Toronto transit is lacking compared to other cities you've visited? Let us know in the comments.
