TTC subway closures this weekend include a key stretch of the Line 1 Yonge-University, and here's everything you need to know ahead of this planned transit disruption.
This Saturday, May 2, the TTC will shut down service through the dense North York City Centre, with no trains running from Sheppard-Yonge to Finch stations.
The planned closure will see shuttle buses replace service at Sheppard-Yonge, North York Centre, and Finch stations, with the TTC attributing the disruption to "track work" along the corridor.
Aside from the Hullmark Centre and Poyntz Avenue entrances at Sheppard-Yonge Station, all three stations on the closed stretch will remain open for commuters to purchase/reload fares and connect with surface routes.
Service is expected to resume at approximately 8 am. on Sunday, May 3.

Though the closure is small in scale, the timing of the shutdown is a bit rough, coming on the heels of multiple weekday subway outages and a particularly chaotic month of April that included lasting shutdowns caused by hydraulic oil leaks on Line 2.
