Here's a complete inside-and-out look at one of Toronto's next subway stations

Toronto's new Ontario Line subway is expected to be a game-changer for public transit in the city, but with construction still in its earliest stages and the payoff several years on the horizon, flashy renderings are the best the public has to satisfy their curiosity about the new 15.6-kilometre subway line.

Metrolinx just dropped a fresh batch of renderings, offering a comprehensive tour of the new buildings and platforms that will transform the existing Pape Station on the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth into an interchange station connecting to the Ontario Line.

Here's a look at what the expanded Pape Station will look like once the Ontario Line is complete.

Metrolinx expects that, by 2041, 12,700 people will be within walking distance of this new station, forecast to serve 10,200 passengers and 9,100 transfers during the busiest travel hour of the day.

The Ontario Line is expected to open in the early 2030s, updated from a previous 2031 forecast.
