What's open on Canada Day 2025  in Toronto is a bit of a mixed bag. Although most of the city has the day off, there are some notable exceptions when it comes to malls, grocery stores, and attractions.

  • The TTC will run on a holiday schedule, with routes running on Sunday schedules starting at 6 a.m. 
  • GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule
  • Select Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall locations will be open (make sure to check ahead)

  • Restaurants are a bit of a toss-up. Make sure to call ahead or confirm via social media if the one you're visiting is open.
