Toronto is getting a Friends Central Perk coffee shop

Seinfeld fans won't be the only ones having fun this year in Toronto. Former must-see Thursday sitcom Friends will be coming to life in the city later this year too when a Central Perk coffee shop opens on King West.

The replica cafe, inspired by Ross, Rachel and co.'s popular hangout doesn't yet have a confirmed address but the people behind the project are promising a June 24 opening.

Central Perk pop-ups are not new. Ones have surfaced in Manhattan, Sydney and Shanghai in the past year.

The Toronto version is promising a "meticulously detailed" recreation of "the experience of one of the most popular shows of all time." There will be the familiar orange couch, a barista named Gunther, pastries, donuts and coffee.

What else can you expect? How about a sing-a-long to Phoebe's Smelly Cat, Friends scripts, memorabilia, photo ops and music.
