Ossington finally gets a street festival of its own

For the first time ever, Ossington is getting a street festival. But unlike at other such events, you'll be able to do more than eat, drink and dance on a major roadway. Instead, the first ever OSSFEST is centred around a criterium bicycle race (or crit race) with categories open to pros, beginners, kids and those who ride fixies.

The race, happening on July 23, is sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association so it's is for licensed riders only. It'll take you on multiple loops around a one-kilometre course and registration is open now.

If you don't want to participate, you can watch. The races start at noon while the after party on Ossington runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. It'll feature food, shopping and music.
