Today in Toronto: Next Stage, Movie Night at the Garrison, Chozin Drinks a Beer, Canada Cocktail Party

Today in Toronto get ready to laugh and cry at the Fringe's Next Stage Theatre Fest (January 7 - 18), a smaller version of the warm-weather Fringe but a must-hit for Toronto indie/punk theatre fans, as is the beer tent. Tickets and schedule are available via Next's website.

The Garrison wants to warm you up on Wednesdays this month with free cult movie screenings, drink specials, and snacks. Bowling is the theme tonight: watch The Big Lebowski and Kingpin while munching Mexi-style popcorn. Xiaojing Yan impresses us at Art Toronto, and you can catch her work at The Red Head Gallery this month starting tonight. At the AGO artist Tenzin Chozin (Mammalian Diving Reflex) is turning 19. May his fake ID rest in piece. For more events, click on over to our events section.
