toronto dinesafeThis week on DineSafe offered a break from the rounds of closures and infestations plaguing Toronto restaurants of late. This week saw no heath-related closures across the city, which, yes, actually is a reason to celebrate. The places that were pegged with conditional passes managed to keep their infraction tallies under double digits, too, which might suggest Toronto is actually cleaning up its act--but let's just wait until next week. Is there a reason that these restaurants are listed without their addresses? Especially the more generically named ones without their review on blogto (New York Cafe), it leaves bit to the imagination if you ask me. Please rectify if possible.

Worth noting, on the data link issue, that it's a case of poor usability. Yes, all have links to reports that contain the address, but there's nothing intuitive about a linked date to suggest that it would be a source of an address.

Honestly, I've read this column for months and it never occurred to me that the date link would also show the location. That kind of stuff should be made obvious.

It would be great if the major intersection were listed right beside the restaurant name. For example:

Jaipur Grille (Yonge/Eglinton)
Inspected on: October 24
Inspection finding: Yellow (Conditional Pass)
.
.
.
(I realize that info is available if you click the link, but it'd be nice to have right here)

It's not obvious that the date link just might be a link to the actual report? Would it not also be obvious to assume that the address would be on this report?

People complain so much in these responses without pausing to think.

I don't always look for business addresses in blogs, but when I do, I make sure to exhaust all available hyperlinks.
