No Pants Subway Ride 2010
The No Pants Subway Ride 2010 edition took to the TTC yesterday. Organized by Improv in Toronto, the bare-legged, goosebump-generating "flash mob" experience sees riders casually whip off their pants, revealing their tighty-whiteys, bikini briefs, lacy panties, and boxers... and take the train - much to the awe/delight/fright of unsuspecting passengers.
blogTO contributor Paul Flynn happened upon a number of pantless participants taking part in the 3rd annual winter event, and sent us a link to some photos he took. blogTO Flickr pooler SasiShan also dropped a few in our pool this morning. Looks like a lot of (shivering) fun, doesn't it?

The phenomenon has become a worldwide event (see BBC video), with transit users in 43 cities taking part this year.
Update (January 15th): video!

It sort of lessens the impact imho.
What may have been quite funny, hilarious and even gut busting turns into something more watered down and barely smile-worthy at best and eye-rollable at worst.
That said, I know it's hard nowadays to keep a lid on such events.. I guess it's the price we pay for having expedited access to all information.
Everyone takes one look and goes back to their Metro paper.
LOOK AT US! LOOK AT US! LOOK AT US! LOOK AT US! LOOK AT US!
You are just jealous you jack-ass :)
do it in july if you are going to waste your time doing this.
Regardless, this was a hilarious event to be a part of and was a great deal of fun. I look forward to Improv's next assignment.
how was it fun??
Chill out people. Sheesh.

Hey Improv Toronto clowns - perhaps you could execute original ideas in your "missions" - that would actually be improvisation.
It is not like they were completely naked. They had underwear on. The same amount of coverage as most public pools and beaches. I fail to see how this is inappropriate or a violation of any kind. If anything it is an act of free will that we should all be embracing.
But then again, after checking this blog daily, I dont think there is anything that 'jack' has not criticized.
all of you!
id never be able to do it though
PS I looked better but.......then again trontonians don't recognize and they are oppressively jealous.
