silverman helps cancelledIn a memo distributed to staff of Citytv (see below), it's been announced that the award-winning and long-running Citytv segment "Silverman Helps" has been cancelled, effective immediately.

No more "Watch it, buddy," and no more helping the little people who've been screwed over.

Today we informed the group that works in "Silverman Helps" that this segment of the news will discontinue in its current format. For nearly two decades, Peter Silverman and Terry O'Keefe's unit have brought closure to many viewer complaints. We feel however that the marketplace for investigative journalism is evolving and CityNews will reformat the consumer beat in the fall. Effective immediately, the "Silverman Helps" stories will be discontinued. We thank Peter, Terry and Cristina for their contribution to the newscast.

Silverman was bit of a YouTube star in February of last year when he brought out his "inner Chuck Norris" during a violent encounter with a spastic business owner .

That's a terrible decision. They're cutting the life out of the network, but for some reason still feel it's a good idea to have a lead-in video for almost every video clip on the Citynews website. Not to mention that fantastic disco music!

apetimberlake on June 4, 2008 at 2:52 PM

Man thats the worst !
I love Silverman

acer on June 4, 2008 at 2:53 PM

His profile is still up on the CityNews website. They are so on the ball there. Silverman's segments actually required real work to produce, probably why they have no interest in doing them. Not the Citytv way...

Brad on June 4, 2008 at 2:55 PM

Sad how CTV is raping City

Sean on June 4, 2008 at 2:57 PM

Sad.

They just blew away an audience grabber.

Same reason they got rid of Harold Hosein. Not 'youth' orientated. The current weather guy can't tell the difference between fog, smog and haze.

Older is wiser.

David Toronto on June 4, 2008 at 2:57 PM

TV stations change and programs also change.

The sad thing is that Rogers has been making changes
for the worse not the better. Unless they think of
some consumer program like Marketplace and air it on a weekly basis.

Has anyone noticed that Hour Town, The Mayor and The Chief have all disappeared from CP24 or is it summer break for these programs?

CITY needs to rethink its newscasts and come up with a better and less annoying product. I still stick wtih CBC for my news. Global is totally a waste of time and CTV isn't much to look at either.

Rogers doesn't seem to be doing much except become a broadcast annoyance.

Jerrold on June 4, 2008 at 2:58 PM

According to a Twitter friend, Peter was just months away from retirement.

Someone on June 4, 2008 at 3:01 PM

Please note that it's not CTV making these decisions, it's Rogers. Rogers owns CityTV not CTV.

Who will Silverman call for help? Sean O'Shea? As if.

I'm guessing that someone up top at Rogers was a little concerned about all those people they've been screwing over.

Corporations don't like corporate scrutiny.

I'm boycotting CityTV over this. I need by GSM phone, but I don't need this.

SCREWFACE on June 4, 2008 at 3:08 PM

Peter Silverman joins Amber MacArthur on the list of surprising cuts
Then I will wait on Silverman's response to this post on this page.

That's what they want you to think. Seems like your falling for it.

Retirement or not, just like that - no more Silverman helps? Who am I going to turn to for help when I get screwed over? JoJo Chintoh?

DW on June 4, 2008 at 3:11 PM

But WHO WILL HELP SILVERMAN ?!

Sean on June 4, 2008 at 3:14 PM

JoJo Chintoh?

He's not young either.

I don't know if I'd say Harold Hosein was much of an audience grabber.
The new Meteorologist is Micheal Kuss and he is a very good weather man. Probably one of the last things that city news has going for it.

Sad news - the guy is an icon, I am getting really annoyed by Rogers, its corporate greed and tired of seeing their logo plastered all over Toronto wherever you turn. I wish Silverman all the best and hope he will join another station soon. He could have retired years ago but he truly enjoys what he does for living and helping other people.

mark on June 4, 2008 at 4:33 PM

Tired of seeing the Rogers logo "everywhere"? They should adopt the CityTV ads from the 80's!

Seriously, if I have to put up with Rogers slowly taking over everything in this city, the least Uncle Ted could do is bring me an NFL team.

lathamb on June 4, 2008 at 4:36 PM

Rogers is a fucking virus. They're turning City TV into a dead corpse...

Silverman was probably investigating Rogers for screwing someone over.

It's sad to watch the personality ripped out of that station. The day it moves from Queen street is the day that station is buried.

Ted Rogers is a miserable old out of date prick. Anyone read the story in The Star last week? He's the real life Monty Burns.

R. Gilbert on June 4, 2008 at 4:40 PM

Why couldn't they have fired Frankie Flowers instead? I absolutely loathe him.

lathamb on June 4, 2008 at 4:42 PM

Don't screw with my boy Frankie Flowers...Trust me, you should see my garden because of that guy's advice!

Aaron on June 4, 2008 at 4:43 PM

Rogers is only interested in the the spectrum, the 700mhz spectrum is up for auction when the analog TV signal is switched off in 2011, (next year for the american stns) They have no interest in Peter or even Gord for that matter... Nevertheless their core business is CELL PHONES and the 700mhz band will be the frequency of choice for cell phone content, such as movies, digital TV, and data. They have bypassed the auction in 5 major cities in Canada by aquiring the CityTV stations, which will automatically put them on the same playing field as Bell in those cities when TV officially dies on August 2011.

Marc on June 4, 2008 at 4:50 PM

So by buying CityTV they get the spectrum of the analog airwaves that CityTV was broadcasting on (which is 700mhz?).

Yo Mama on June 4, 2008 at 5:04 PM

Rogers is run by scary groupthink pinheads from the TV stone age, so it's no surprise that they have no clue what City TV is all about ...

miranda on June 4, 2008 at 5:31 PM

I can't stand Silverman Helps. He's an extremely rude and arrogant man.

Meh on June 4, 2008 at 5:34 PM

Silverman is an arrogant jerk, and I say that from experiences that have nothing to do with CityTV or his brand of investigative journalism. Amber Mac deserves sympathy, Silverman not at all.

don on June 4, 2008 at 6:06 PM

Broadcasting on that frequeny doesn't give them any advtantage when the spectrum opens up.

Aaron on June 4, 2008 at 6:16 PM

@Marc, Yes that is correct, they have essentially bypassed any bids for the major cities for that part of the spectrum so even if a competitor wanted to compete Rogers has the leg up on the them as I understand it.

Anon on June 4, 2008 at 6:25 PM

Stupidest decision EVER...WTF is going on over at City?? I honestly don't get it. Even firing Harold and replacing him with that dork Michael Kuss...another stupid decision. Wouldn't be surprised if Rogers just cut the 6pm newscast to 30mins once they move to their new building (and replace the other 30 mins with quality programming, such as "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" :X)

Alex G on June 4, 2008 at 6:56 PM

very sad... hardly surprising.

Christopher King on June 4, 2008 at 6:58 PM

I can't understand Rogers short sightedness, unless gutting the life out of the former media sensation is exactly what the directors want.
Maybe, by removing everything that made CityTV unique, they hope to gradually throttle the station, pissing the former audience away until after this "date" that's been mentioned about the 700 mhz passes, and then Rogers will sell the station again.
Won't be much left, but it will have served it's corporate masters purpose of national domination.
Knew this was a fracking bad idea. Still can't believe the CRTC allowed it to be.

B on June 4, 2008 at 7:15 PM

The corporate twits at Rogers think they are so in tune with what people want or need. The firing of Peter, just before his retirement is another example of how classless and evil this monopoly acts. Peter is an iconic fixture and a mainstay for Torontonians tuning into the 6:pm news. You should all be ahamed, you bunch of classless corporate bums...

And oh yeah Ted... Fuck You Too!!

aahhrrgg on June 4, 2008 at 7:18 PM

Any bets that CITY TV gets it's name changed to Rogers TV?

Tef on June 4, 2008 at 7:31 PM

The one thing I have to admit that Rogers has done right is getting back Kathryn Humphreys. But getting rid of Silverman stinks. Last year that story with the fight was seen around the world. You would think they would give the guy a raise after that story.

Tonya Rouse on June 4, 2008 at 8:17 PM

How come nobody ever mentions my name when they are talking about the amazing talent that has left City TV? Do you know how many hands I sat on for that station? I was the fitness master. As far as I'm concerned it was over for that station when I left.

Remember eat right and exercise.

dnm on June 4, 2008 at 8:29 PM

Doesn't surprise me; Rogers cant get ANYTHING right.

Paul on June 4, 2008 at 9:32 PM

Despite what has been posted here, Peter was not about to retire and had said he would give Silverman Helps another year to see what Rogers would do with the segment. Peter is 76, still fit and does what he does for the love of journalism and fighting the good fight. Peter and his past and present team members have won numerous high profile awards. The sudden cancellation represents a crass economic decision designed to trim costs for Rogers. With the Silverman Helps team out of the way, Rogers can hire another six fledgling reporters to further drag City's reputation into the ground. It they wanted to save money, they should have turfed Jojo Chintoh.

Anon on June 4, 2008 at 9:39 PM

Is Jojo Chintoh a very high-paid personality at City? (relatively speaking)

alex P on June 4, 2008 at 10:53 PM

From the inside Jojo still gets paid waaaayyyyyyy tooo much money for the 3 hours a day he works. You'd think he was Gord, hell they work the same hours, about 12 a week. He shows up, sits down for a bit and worries about his horses, goes home. Day done. But this forum is for the premature termination of one of our city's icons. Silverman was as Toronto as the damn tower is.

Ray Michaels on June 4, 2008 at 11:39 PM

Peter Silverman is a neccessitiy that CP24 is going to wish they had hung onto, whats going on now that Rogers has taken the Helm...Is Ted not aware that CityPulse News is the most watched news station in the Province becuase of the Reporters! Peter Silverman, I wish you great success, maybe Ted and his group will give their heads a shake and work you and your crew into the so called Fall Format. I certainly hope that Con-Insultants are not making these decisions, especially when they are based in the USA...TED ROGERS...IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT! TRY FIXING YOUR LOUSY CELL PHONE SERVICE!!!

ayl on June 5, 2008 at 12:55 AM

Oh man, I actually liked Silverman Helps! Personally, I like the friendly banter between the anchors on Global, although it doesn't work for everyone when thinking back to first year bcast history. (Wow can you not love Leslie Roberts though?) Harold was definitely a great weather man and asset to City. Michael's not bad, but I liked him much better when he was on Global.

Bwah? on June 5, 2008 at 2:18 AM

"Is Ted not aware that CityPulse News is the most watched news station in the Province becuase of the Reporters!"What crack are you smoking? (And can I get some??). CITY has never been the most watched news program in Toronto, never mind the whole province. I think at last check, CityNews @ 6 (it hasn't been "CityPulse for a few years) was ranked 4th or 5th in the market- I believe at one point the station in Hamilton was getting more viewers in Toronto than CITY.Also, I'd challenge you to name 5 "reporters" on that station. Besides a few of the anchors, there's hardly anyone worth remembering.

kitty on June 5, 2008 at 8:53 AM

i can't believe all this corporate shenanigan bullshit. both rogers and CTV don't belong at the corner of queen st. and john, just like how Home Depot don't belong in west queen st. west and WalMart in Leslieville. it's great that they're trying to attract younger audience to watch the news and care about the world around them, but geez, do you have to get rid of the news veterans whose efforts and talents make up the backbone of their news channel? and this idea of replacing the vets with the young and inexperience, does that really make a big whooping difference?! then why the hell did they cancel 'webnation' on CITY? as i remember, the host of that show was young and attractive. was it because they feel threatened that a woman can have the looks and the brains?on a similar note, i hate MUCH MUSIC. the VJs in the past actually brought out the best in covering the music scene and challenged audience with some thought provokative stories and shows. now, MUCH is nothing much. george, rick, hannah, and the rest of the gang is replaced by nothing but bad boob jobs and a whole lotta trashy shows. if MUCH's targeted audience is the youths, then for god sakes, leah, wear something that isn't just a small piece of cloth! none of the VJs are remotely close to being good role models for kids these days.

I'll help "Silverman Helps"SHAME TED ROGERS...SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You may have heard by now that Rogers has made a decision to immediately terminate SILVERMAN HELPS. They have given no reason. Silverman Helps has worked with the community for going on to 20 years, and in this time has helped literally thousands of people. The Unit receives over 20 thousand calls for help of one sort or another per year. This has now been stopped. People saw SILVERMAN HELPS as the last resort to get any sort of resolution on problems. This action is to typically 'corporate', unkind, thoughtless and hurtful, thoughtless and hurtful.I will be spearheading a group of angry viewers and fans to ensure Ted reconsiders this awful decision.

I am so shocked that Rogers would take such a step. Now all the crooks can run free, cheating the little people.Thanx Rogers for your service...

Graham Ducker on June 7, 2008 at 9:52 AM

Silverman was a beacon of hope in the murky greediness in which some in society mire themselves. It is obvious someone in the controlling dungeons of Rogers' bureaucray had a well-heeled 'friend' that was exposed by Silverman. Can't have that! Thus Silverman suffers.

Mark on June 10, 2008 at 6:54 PM

This is some sad news. I interned with the Silverman Helps Unit for three months. The staff was excellent and extremely supportive.
They didn't see this one coming, and I'm completely disgusted by how Rogers has dropped this from the CityTV newscast. The staff that produced this weekly feature pulled together a great product each and every week.
They just weren't fluff stories that a hot chick could pull off just by smiling at the camera. These stories were had emotion, touched lives and pulled the audience into them.
Plain and simple, since Rogers moved in things have taken a turn for the worse. I never liked Rogers anyway.
Thanks for letting me express my thoughts. And thanks to Cris, Peter and Terry for making such the newsroom such an enjoyable experience for me.

Benny on June 12, 2008 at 9:03 AM

CityTV is no longer the heart and soul of Toronto since its takeover. CityTV was about connecting with people that featured real stories and shows dealing with everyday people in our city. Silverman Helps was an excellent show that fit into this mantra of reaching out to the common citizens of Toronto. I also heard that Speaker's Corner is also getting the axe. What is Roger's going to cancel next? Are they going to get rid of CityLine and Breakfast Television too? Unfortunately, it's now all about money and ratings and CityTV will no longer be a unique media outlet for Toronto. It will just become another soulless and boring television station.

Emz on June 12, 2008 at 12:00 PM

I can't believe Rogers (not City) did this. Silverman was of the people, for the people and his warmth and caring manner (for the little guy) came across on TV. You'll be missed Mr. Silverman, this is a big loss to CityTV fans.

Ronny on June 12, 2008 at 10:05 PM

Too many changes @ Citytv. No wonder they are in 3rd place, sometimes in 4th behind CBC @ 6pm. My friend saw Leslie Roberts shopping in Yorkville with his partner 2 wks ago. Global news is very dull, CFTO is the best in T.O.

Brad on June 15, 2008 at 1:11 PM

Why do we even call it CityTv anymore. Why don't Rogers change the name since they are so good at changing everything else that is good. Why don't we call it CoporateTV, Lets make a dollarTV, or wait let's run it into the ground TV. Since this may make ore sense to them anyway.

CITY Viewer on June 22, 2008 at 12:44 PM

OKAY first off..you people are ignorant and do not know all the facts. When CITY was bought by Rogers...and CP24 BOUGHT BY CTV...there was a lot of grey areas..ie who owns what talent..as a result there have been many issues that both stations have to resolve. Marilyn Denis was a CTV property/name...so of course it has to leave CITY. Its not their tv property. You also dont know the details of silverman. If the property was under CP24..of course Rogers cant run it (Dont know details of silverman)...Pls try to be a little more educated about things. You cant connect CP24 and CITY anymore..they are different!

Soon CP24 wont even carry any of the CITY tv content ie: breakfats television...

Elliot Reminger on June 24, 2008 at 10:31 PM

I think it does have to do with the budget constraints and the need to provide Michael Kuss with more weather stations. After all, it is important to know the 0.01 degree difference between Mississauga and Scarborough on any given night.

Terry O'Halley on June 24, 2008 at 10:37 PM

If Silverman was a CTV property, then why isn't he on CP24 still? He was let go.
City and CP24 were a part of CHUM, so both stations were across the spectrum of that company. Most personalities air on both stations. Even if they split one way or the other, they still should be with one company or another.

The sale of CHUM however was stupid to begin with anyways. CTV is a worthless company that only hijacks American shows on their main network non-stop.

Alda Rebelo on June 27, 2008 at 7:05 AM

Maria Koukla on July 13, 2008 at 10:20 PM

CTV News is by far the best newscast in Toronto but I will admit that I am very sad to hear this news. Mr. Silverman had a great segment that helped people in need. CityNews/CP24 is getting worse. Everyday you switch it on there are new hosts, who for the most part are young pretty women. There is no diversity as there used to be. Don't get me started on Michael Kuss he is the most BORING and inaccurate weather man I have ever seen. Dave Duvall may be older but he is 10000x better than him. What about Lagogianes?? Didn't they fire him?? He is so monotone and dull they should have never brought him back. This is really turning into a mess.

Sid on July 17, 2008 at 9:59 PM

I prefer CTV News as well. CityPulse/CityNews was a lot better overall in the 70s/80s/90s. My cousin had a school project to do that related to TV Media. My cousin had the opportunity to interview some of the CTV/CFTO anchors (Christine Bentley, Dave Devall...) and staff and said everyone was very friendly, just as they are on the air.

Yeah City TV sucks. It was always crap, same as Rogers. Do people forget that Rogers was the only available cable tv company around for all those years before Satellite came into the picture? They screwed us all over, now all of a sudden when they lost millions and millions of dollars from unsatisfied customers jumping at the chance to get away from Rogers and go to Satellite tv, they start working on their customer service skills. Now they are back in action with clever advertising and taking over the city. Sky Dome is the Rogers Centre? How stupid. Rogers and City TV suck.
The only thing good about City TV was Silverman helps and that segment was the only reason I turned to City TV. No reason to watch it anymore. Rogers and City TV are nothing to me.

George Farmer the mold maker, told me that I would be doing him and everybody there a huge favor if I packed up all of my stupid sculptures and fucking action figures and left, because they are all garbage as he put it. That studio ripped me off! I paid over 500 bucks for service that I did not receive. As well as being put down by the mold maker while he dropped the F-bomb on me and made some very personal insults. The only good thing about CITY TV was that show and it has now been cancelled! Bring Silverman BACK

Maria on January 24, 2009 at 6:33 PM

Its sad that "Silverman helps" has come to an end. I came online to obtain his contact information in hopes of helping me. He was a strong man and a good example of how bad people get put in their place. I hope they (TV station) rethinks about this decision and continue to have silverman helps back on tv.

This is a very bad decision, and I was looking for him to help me out in a really bad situation of mine right now. I purchased a condo and the previous owner spray painted all the appliances inside and left the suite in a non liveable situation. Dog puke and shit all over. And he also let the dog go to the washroom inside. Along with all the garbage still in the suite. I am left to deal with this mess, and di not intend on purchasing new appliances. I am a single female of 28 years, and it is my first time home. I really liked him, and I think that you should bring him back!!!

All the more reason to boycott corporate ownership of anything. They don't care about people... only profit and their shareholders. Wanna make a difference? Cancel your cable... why would you support Rogers by giving them your money every month?

blondie on February 26, 2009 at 11:21 AM

I too needed Silverman's help! Its too bad that they cancelled him because my story would have been a good one for CityTv too! The university strike has hampered my ability to complete my degree due to the fact that they are not making ANY reasonable accommodations for me to complete my final HALF of a semester. I am forced to pay out, yet again, in order to start my entire final semester over again due to their incompetence! Now I have to take this in my own hands and I thinkt he university and CityTv would have prefered to have Silverman deal with it! Oh well! Their loss! Yet, another bad decision made by Toronto!

Akua Ntiamoah on February 27, 2009 at 5:05 PM

That is wrong .. We need to have "Sliverman's Help". He has teached our society that unjustice is not tolerated in Toronto or in anyother city.

He teaches us that there are still people that cares.

Okay, I'm SOOO out of the loop - - didn't know Peter Silverman was gone from City. Duh! I, like so many others, always loved when he took on problems and tackled them head on, mostly with positive results for people who really needed help. Every time something happened to me, my mother (who adored him) would say "Call Silverman Helps, he'll fix them". I actually was trying to locate him on the City site today, because of an ongoing dispute / dissatisfaction / defaulted promise made to me by Direct Energy. But I guess I'll continue on in my battle with that Goliath on my own. Peter, you are missed. Best of everything to you, and thanks for your many years of helping out so many people who felt desperate.

Sick of CITY on May 1, 2009 at 5:59 AM

CITY is becoming THE worst station on air.
They keep people WAY beyond their appeal.. and they become OLD in more than age. Is anyone else so SICK of Gord's voice.. yeeech!!
Frankie Flowers should stick to flower news.. his dismal little idiot face makes me SICK and he and that dumb female ( Kevin's FAT gut is a disgrace!!...) have ruined what used to be a palatable Breakfast show.. I don't watch it anymore.
They are SO lazy there.. replaced Movies with re-re-reRuns of OC.. re-runs of 30 rock,, What is wrong with them??

Preciousa on May 1, 2009 at 7:22 PM

What happened to Silverman? I was about to ask for his help to get my refund from Doogan's Pet store at Markville mall. I just found out I was not the only one getting rip off by this store.

G. Williamson and S. Marfise are landlord's horror stories that will make every landlord’s toes curl.

What’s the worst case scenario if you decide to become a landlord?

None paying tenants?

Damage to the fixtures and fittings?

A huge cleaning bill?

None payment for utilities bills?

Thrown in jail?

Extortion?
You might think so – it’s unlikely that you’ll ever have to go through what I have been through.

Checking out tenants in advance is all well and good but where does a landlord turn when the horror has already begun and they're faced with the dread task of trying to get rid of a tenant who won't pay up, but refuses to leave?

This can be a truly daunting challenge and it's one which we can recall with some bitterness, Getting rid of my troublesome tenants became a real nightmare.
go to my web site and you could read people who were scammed by these to professional tenants

Peter Silverman - Top nothch guy. He sat in a small 4th Floor office covered in paper, research and an onslaught of other peoples hardships. Peter turned a lot of those hardships in to winning results and helped so many people. I helped him with a small computer problem as part of my job and he told me if I ever need anything to give him a call. Calling Silverman!!! We need Silverman Helps!

Im having a problem with my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclise Spyder GT, about a year ago I noticed the clear coat cracking on my hood, since then the whole car is now cracking, it looks like crap and is embarrassing to drive. I took the car back to Mitsubishi who said they only guarantee there paint for 3 years on ALL MODELS, after that they dont care even when its a defect when they painted the car. I have seen other Mitsubishi's on the road with the same problem, I am looking for other people with the same problem so that Mitsubishi doesn't cover up another recall.

Thank you,
Karrissa

Who do I complain to about a Jeep I bought two weeks ago that has been a nightmare since I bought it. The dealership is giving me (senior citizen) the royal run around first they lost the key only gave me one. Second sold me a V8 I wanted a V6. Third windshield had a crack they said I did it cost me 60.00 to have it fixed now they need to replace the sway links because there is a clunk said they will do that and get me another key well will wait and see also after I paid for it had my mechanic look it over and out of my own pocket had to pay 600.00 to have it broght up to spec I am thoroughly disgusted with that smooth talking salesman who just wanted to get rid of the car and unload it even although he kept saying he wasn't making any money out of this sale and etc. etc. etc. Thanks.

gjalexander on September 8, 2009 at 4:15 PM

Hi Since my last comment on Sept. 8 at 10:01 went into the dealership and boy they were falling all over me with what can I do to help and I talked to the owner of the dealership and he was more than helpful offered to de rust the car at no charge got me a key at no charge he was very very helpful so I guess the squeeky wheel does get the grease and I imagine that the salesman will get his wrists slapped but not my intent to hurt anywone just wanted to be treated fairly and now I am but still going to be out of pocket a wee bit but then I learned a valuable lesson so all is ok. sorry to hear that Mr. Silverman won't be helping people on his show maybe he should get his own show ton televion and start helping again.

i told them just put back those tires (as they offered a free tire rotation with oil change?,,but unfortunately ,its not that they want to help ,,they want to make money ,,since i am a woman alone they see that they can talk to me in to it, i tried to tell them not to do now i need my car to pick up my BF at the airport in 2 hrs,,i told them let me think, they drove me home, and when i get home i called after 10 min i called the guy name jeff don,t do anything to my car yet ,,i want to show first to my Bf when he arrive, instead they do it anyway without my authorization and when i pick up my car instead of oil change only 19.99,+tax,i ended up billed for$1191.00,, when i think about it looks like they sprary some oil underneath my car to make it like oil licking,,can u trust this kind of guy to fix your car?

Now the tire pressure light is coming on my jeep that I bought recently and this jeep is starting to cause me grief I think I should take it back to the dealer and tell him to take it back and give me my money but ha that isn't going to happen the pres of the company is great but I don't think he will take it back that smooth talking sob of a saleman sold me a lemon and am I stuck with it and also it is causing grief between my husband of 46 years and myself we are fighting over the damn thing every little thing that goes wrong it is my fault he even said that the reason the pressure light is on is because I drove over a stank and probably cracked the rim for bleep bleep sake what elese. Do I have a leg to stand as far as taking it back.

I'm currently stuck in a really bad situation and wanted Silverman's help to document how I the consumer is being exploited and victimized at a Honda dealership.Long story short, I've signed some documents for credit approval to finance a car but at the time it wasn't explained fully to me what I was signing. When i finally went through the paper I signed on my own. I realized I got screwed because the things they had promised to give me as a deal wasn't there in writing.I'm a 22yrd old female, came in the dealership and basically got played by the salesman. Now, the so called contract is dated the 5th of October when infact I had signed on OCtober 1st. Now before they even approve my credit and make delivery of the vehicle, I want to cancel the contract because I feel very misled. But twice I went in and they had treated me like shit. The sales manager refused my right to cancel saying "You will lose your deposit and I don't feel like canceling the contract..go excercise your right elsewhere." and he kicked me and my friend out of the premise. But then decided to gang up with his sales buddy and followed us out into the parking lot and threatened to beat my friend for his so-called "attitude" with him. All this while they wait for October 5th to arrive so they can legally bind me to the contract that I don't want. I need Silverman! and other consumers who wants to buy a car needs to know what they're getting themselves into when purchasing a new vehicle at Classic Honda.Anyone have a suggestion who else could help me?
