Ding Dong the Snake is Dead
You may remember my post from this past October (heralded the best blogTO headline ever) about a deadly cobra that was "lost" in a Toronto home, forcing the evacuation of tenants from at least a pair of townhomes.
Well, today, finally, an update. According to The Star, officials are saying that the snake is most definitely muerto. No, they've not found the body or any sign of it anywhere, but with the heat turned off in the home and this wicked chill Toronto's been under, experts worldwide agree that the Egyptian Cobra couldn't possibly hack it in that kind of cold.
No one's moved back in yet as the poor landlord has to fix all the holes in his walls and floor from the search, but if you're looking for a good deal on a room... there may be some vacancies to fill soon.
Sidenote: My apologies for two death-related posts back to back... it's just one of those afternoons!

Seriously, I would need to see a dead snake body, DNA testing, other snakes to come in and say, "Yup, that's Harry, alright", a bottle of anti-venin in the medicine cabinet is tough to explain to a date...and still pass.
A great deal on rent one thing, Cobra venom is another.
