vidTO: Zanta's Plea to the Chief of Police
Love him or hate him, David Adam Zancai and his Zanta character are here to stay and he's not giving up on his quest to gain visitation/custody rights to his daughter.
While entertaining to some, Zanta's antics do seem like a bizarre form of public protest given the circumstances (he's been called aggressive and mentally unstable). That said, there's been no record of Zanta assaulting or threatening anyone.
In his latest video, he tells us that he's tired of being persecuted and harassed by the police. He's been removed from countless street festivals, parades, barred from the CNE, and is not allowed in Yorkville for one year. He takes his plea to the top by asking Toronto Police Chief William Blair to get the fuzz off his back. Does Blair cruise YouTube? Not likely, but I suppose Zancai hopes to garner more attention and rally the support of online fans and supporters.

You'd think the cops' time would be better spent running after bike theives than harassing a street performer. He's like the cowboy in Times Square, only with more clothing.
Does anyone know why the cops are always on him?
He scares people and physically intimidates people. Older ladies are terrified.
No wonder he is banned.
About the pushups on the taxi: did you happen to see the string of events that led up to that particular incident? If you had, you would have realized that the taxi driver was upset only because Zanta wasn't doing one handed pushups as he had originally requested.
To Kate: he's not barking at you. My, don't we have an ego? His brain functions on a level that we normal people can only dream about. Thus, he must maintain several layers of complex thoughts, and this is reflected in his ability to carry on multitple conversations in his mind - ocassionally these thoughts are expressed externally via "barking," as you call it.
Wake up folks. Zanta represents everything that we yearn to be and should be regarded as a municipal treasure.
One love.
You guys are as gray and dull as the concrete sidewalks.
"Old ladies are terrified"??
Yeah and alot of old ladies are terrified of alot of people.
As for traffic steering around him - so what - are you guys traffic cops?
God, just when you think this city is getting interesting these 3 remind me that we're still a city of middle-class wimps.
