i hope he gets banned from the internet too.

It's incredible (disturbing) - that a TV station can ban a person from a part of the city. Just because they put their camera out the window - what if this becomes fashion and every one wants another to be removed from his view?

zanta, you rock -- and i'm not sure why you call yourself 'toronto zanta', because to me there is only one zanta in the world and toronto is lucky to have him.

keep us on our toes.

I couldn't believe my luck when I saw Zanta in Yorkville last month.
Dude, you can come leave me presents under my tree all year round.
Yee-haww.... I mean, ho ho ho.

OMG! I have been looking at the various videos and this guy is scary. Why do they let him loose on the street? Here is the best movie I have found. Check it out:

Well, yes he can be annoying however I do not recall anything being reported officially, that David/Zanta has caused anyone harm - unless I missed it. My experience was only by observation on the subway (three experiences actually) where he went from performing his antics to a serious conversation with a subway passenger where he made as much sense if not more sense then people we deem as "normal". I guess you had to be there it was quite impressive. As for "removing him from the street" - one he hasn't done anything to warrant an arresting charge where a persons safety was at risk or risk of assault. As for the CITYTV camera person worried about his/her safety....ummm okay so much for journalistic bravery - smeone yells at you and you call a cop??? OoOoOo hard news. I mean like most people in the "industry", once you develop that star like dementia all someone has to do is look at you the wrong way and "you've been threatened". Not defending the guy really....but yelling in the back ground and performing ushup's is hardly assault.Besides, if we took everyone off the street who was weird we'd have a population of 1M. Then of course there is the problem of where to put them all.....hmm...Ottawa perhaps. Until he is certified as unable to care for himself, needs special psyciatric handling, and is certified as a danger to the public, or assults someone - leave the guy alone, do Torontonians have THAT much time on their hands?

Zanta kicks ass. Anyone know anything about a documentary on him? Someone told me there was one around, but I can't seem to find it.

Rock on Zanta- keep showing the world your nipples.

This guy is annoying. And definitely not 'normal'. What do you mean you didn't believe your luck when you him in Yorkville? He's in Yorkville every day. Idiot. Shouts at people, creates jams on the sidewalk, and his ugly body...

I'm doing my push-ups so that I can kick his ass.

Posted by: yakov at August 23, 2006 6:40 PM

yakov, do not be jealous cause Zanta RULESSSSSSSSS!!! you can only dream of a body like that. so tis you whos the idiot here. he is definitely a really nice person. Im in Yorkville everyday, so i talk to him alot.

Posted by: Laura Yorkton at August 24, 2006 8:39 PM

I live in yorkville and during the summer I watched him beat the hell out of a mail box and then walk away.

Posted by: Double D at October 12, 2006 10:04 AM

Zanta is my bf's buddy, he called me in September and I swear I've never talked so long to someone I don't know, or had a more intresting conversation with someone in my life. This guy is harmless hes a nice guy just a lil out there...I support Zanta

Posted by: Wendy at November 6, 2006 3:39 AM

I had a "conversation" with Zanta. He never shut up. I looked up the symptoms of bipolar and he fits the bill: rapid speach, delusions of grandure, gets in trouble and does not understand why, drugs, bizzar behavior, etc. What a goof!

Posted by: Sharon at November 9, 2006 6:13 PM

Zanta's plans for fame are succeeding!

He rules!

Im going to yell stuff out on the bus platform and street when I grow up!

Posted by: RevivalOfBuzzBuzz at November 13, 2006 4:20 PM

Right on ROBB - that's totally what I'm going to do when I retire. I'm just going to spend all day yell and doing exercise in the streets until I'm totally pumped. People should do more pushups publically, there's really no reason why not.

Also, if he wants to move to Vancouver he'd get along fine here, and it's not as cold in the winter, and the bud's cheaper. He could lead our santa army.

it always makes me smile to see zanta around town, i'll admit that the first time i saw him i didn't know what to make of it... this massive guy flexing his pipes and running like a lunitic around dundas square in a santa hat even though it was about 45 degrees out. it's people like zanta that everyone knows that make our ridiculously big city seem a little more 'small town'. how many big cities have someone everyone knows and recognises? .....though, i probably wouldn't recognise zanta with his shirt on lol.

Posted by: colleen g at December 21, 2006 3:18 PM

Zanta is awsome :) He made me smile when I was having a bad day ^_^

Posted by: Julie D at December 23, 2006 8:17 PM

I feel for him, I sat and spoke to him for awhile. He is a genuine person who has lost a life.*  But maybe he feels for us,  As we peush to get on the bus, treat elderly  and disabled people with no care. Argue aboutt space, heat, the cold, etc. . . All he does is shout YES YES YES... and talk about being big. Maybe he truly has an acurate view on life, believing anything is possible, judging no one, and speaking aloud. I believe one great writer once said, "THe world is a stage"
SO I say to Zanta as I spoke to you on your way to Carabana, I admire you and respect you!

* When I spoke of a lost life I meant that he never was able to live to our mainstream desires, marriage, home, work, etc. . . All that we believe is normal

This guy is nothing but an unsuccessful attention whore! His website doesn't work and outside of Toronto no one cares who he is! I hope he never sees his daughter again because no child deserves a low life degenerate loser like this for a father!
