Car free day is always so disappointing. More photos.

Ya there were about twice as many people as in the photo. That's still a very small amount of people considering how important car free day is.

I'm not critisizing the people who were there, but the people who weren't, or the people pictured driving.

And ya, I'm not good at the tilt-shift fakery, but this was my first attempt.

When will the hippies figure out they are a useless minority?

They should concentrate on achievable goals, like getting Kensington blocked to car traffic, instead of going off on "let's get rid of all cars" waste of time marches.

I think the mandate is not to get rid of all cars, but to decrease dependancy on and abuse of (overuse, oversized, etc) vehicles. It's not a dirty hippie concept, it's a very obvious and potentially effective way to take on a real global problem :) It's a shame the Toronto parade was so thin.

I just love "When will the _____ figure out _____ ... ?" sentences.

But really, I think this should be more on the scale of the best Critical Mass the city has ever seen.

I just love when some bogger says, 'I just love "When will the _____ figure out _____ ... ?" sentences.'

If I'm not mistaken, I think someone called you a hippie.

Just remember, I am one of your biggest fans.

With all my love,
Aunty Em
