Steeeeeeeeeee-rike TWO?

Posted by Tanja / June 5, 2006

june0506_ttcstrike2.jpgHere we go again. More threats, more rumours and more confusion... yes, another potential TTC strike.

Pulse24 is reporting that tomorrow morning could be another bike-across-the-parking-lot-that-is-Toronto kind of morning in the city. No official (or otherwise) word from other sources.

A lesson learned from last week: Transit strike days are, apparently, a good time to catch a movie. Check out Matt's MoviesTO podcast for the some suggestions.

Looks like the strike didn't happen. The TTC is rolling this morning.

Matt - What seems to be the problem? What is your screen resolution/monitor size?

hmmmm... no scrolling at 1024x768 in FF, IE, Safari, Opera. Are you using 800x600 screen res?

You know, while everyone knows of the perpetual sensationalism that goes on at City/CP24, this weekend was that at its worst.

Between the whole terror business, and then this report last night, which seemed to be them bribing a driver to say that it COULD happen, sigh.

And then the hit promoting Citypulse at 6 tonight, along the lines of "What you're doing to your kid that kills 400 annually"

If it appeared elsewhere, I might take some credence in it. If it just appeared on pulse24.com, then I wouldn't trust it.

Lo and behold, I was right.

It's amazing how quickly we become snobby about our screen resolutions. I remember when I was a youngin' and 800x600 was plenty, thank you... :)

And thanks for the cross-promotion, Tanja!
