The Questions...

1. With gas prices soaring these days, wouldn't it be worth it for 905'ers to just bite the bullet and move into the city instead?
2. Speaking of bullets, isn't this "The Real Toronto" DVD really pathetic?
3. Hasn't the recent cold weather made you long for that hot sticky summer we just had?
4. Why does it seem like the Leafs and the Raptors are forever mired in mediocrity?
5. Isn't the Toronto Police Association "work to rule" situation scary once you really think about it?

RE Q1:
1. You're assuming everyone works in the city and then not even on the periphery, but more centrally. Hard to believe, but there are actually jobs in the 905. Lots of them.
2. I think a little gas pain would be outweighed by loss of house size, lot size, quality of the housing stock, if the 905er even can afford a house and does not have to move 5 people into a 2 bedroom condo. Gas prices won't make many people move if they are commuters.
3. Go trains. 905ers depend on them. They give the thousands of "support" staff in the downtown core the ability to buy a house and still work downtown. These people are not moving back, even if gas prices double the Go train price.
4. Where are they going to move to? Don't we have enough "luxury" condo towers and "chic" "loft" buildings as it is? Until we can convice developers and city council to build streetscapes and vistas that look more like Paris and less like Hong Kong, lets keep everyone out.
