Comedy Bar

Comedy Bar is one of only a handful of Toronto comedy clubs, but it stands out for being both an excellent place to have some laughs (with some off-the-beaten track performers), as well as a decent bar.

    A musical theatre-themed improv show.

We invite amazing singers to come perform.

Then we use their songs & performances to inspire some improvised scenes.

From the people who brought you Gilmore Girlprov and a lot of strong opinions on snacks. @hotcousincomedy If you're interested in performing in a future show- either as a singer or improviser, come introduce yourself and send us a video!

Because let's face it, a lot of us are just (past, present or future) musical theatre nerds at heart.

The fourth instalment of The Healthy Living in Comedy Show is coming to Toronto’s Comedy Bar in February 2017!

After successful runs in Montreal and Kingston, some of Montreal's hottest up and coming comedians head to the six as they navigate the ever-changing landscape of health and wellness, while all simultaneously teetering on the brink of full-blown degeneracy.

The Comedy Bar is home to some of Toronto’s most boundary pushing shows, and is dedicated to the development of new and established comedic talent. On Saturday February 18th, Healthy Living in Comedy (#HealthyLiving) makes its Toronto debut, with shows at 7pm and 11pm!

Featuring Toronto's own Mike Rita, who this year won the Brantford Comedy Competition after taking part in The Homegrown show at the Just For Laughs festival and CBC's The Debaters.

The shows will be hosted by Walter J. Lyng, (Off JFL, Zoofest, Montreal Fringe Festival) and will also feature Reese Turner, and show creators Lawrence Corber and Chris Venditto.

The Healthy Living in Comedy Show kicks off its weekend in Guelph at 9pm on Friday February 17th at The Red Papaya, 55 Wyndham St. N. There are two opportunities to check it out in Toronto on Saturday February 18th, with shows at 7pm and 11pm at The Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor St. W. The last show of the weekend will take place in Hamilton on Sunday February 19th and 8pm at The Casbah, 306 King St W.

Tickets are $15 and are available at
