Jian Ghomeshi arrested by Toronto police
Toronto police have arrested and charged disgraced CBC broadcaster Jian Ghomeshi. In a news release, police said the former Q host surrendered to police on Wednesday morning. He was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of choking to overcome resistance, and is set to appear in court this afternoon.
Ghomeshi was fired from the network last month after allegations of physical and sexual abuse began to surface. Police opened an investigation at the end of October.
