Toronto New Year's Eve Party Guide 2010

Posted by Tim / December 16, 2009

Toronto New Year's Eve 2010Toronto New Year's Eve parties are starting to take shape with almost all bars, clubs and promoters having released their line-up of what's in store for the final night of 2009. It seems that every year a debate looms between going to a bar, club, house party or blowing coin on something a bit more over the top. Whatever you're looking for, you should be able to find it here as our NYE's 2010 guide is broken down by type of venue.

Of course, all the parties are also listed in our events section too. Here's hoping this list helps you find what you're looking for this New Year's Eve.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTIES: EVENT SPACES/ALTERNATIVE VENUES

TOP PICK - NYE AT PIA BOUMAN DANCE STUDIO The annual Promise New Year's eve "warehouse" party again goes down at the Pia Bouman Dance Studio space on Noble St. in Parkdale. Lots of rooms. Lots of DJs. Lots of dancing. $35.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTIES: BARS + RESTAURANTS

TOP PICK - NYE AT THE GARRISON The Garrison, the city's best new live music venue, holds its first New Year's bash by picking up where Sneaky Dee's left off last year. DJ Shit La Merde
will be on the decks with a supporting cast that includes Matt Cully, Dougie Boom and DVAS. $15.

NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTIES: CLUBS

TOP PICK - KENNETH THOMAS LIVE AT CIRCA We're not sure how many days CIRCA has left so why not pay at least once last visit to the big box club on John St. to check out Kenneth Thomas who was voted by Detroit residents as the city's best electronic DJ in 2007.

Parties at the Drake are always good, I've just never been there for NYE. I might check that out this year.
