Finch commuters can't catch a break. The routinely overcrowded and unreliable bus route that covers the northern parts of the city and services nearly 40,000 daily riders will have no mercy, thanks to the new transit plan announced last week by the city and the province. The plan cancels out a previously approved scheme that would have improved bus service on Finch. A regular commuter, whose journey is over an hour one-way, wants the mayor to "walk in our shoes."
A junior Conservative staffer, Tony Phillips, lashed out at his own party via a status update, urging the Prime Minister to answer more than five questions from the media per day. Phillips refused to comment on his posting, saying it would "not be the best career move." What I want to know is--which one of his "friends" is the squealer?
It still has everyone talking. The political panel over at the National Post discusses our new transit plan. They're pretty divided, which I'm sure sums up the rest of the city.
