Glad Day, Since 1970
In 1968 The Oscar Wilde opened its doors on Christopher Street in Manhattan's West Village and in the 40 years that's passed it now lays claim to being the longest surviving lesbian and gay bookstore in the world. Close on its heels, however, is Toronto's own Glad Day. This tiny but well stocked book seller has been serving locals and tourists alike since 1970.
