Facebook Application

Many of you have already discovered it, but I'd like to announce that blogTO has created a Facebook Application. It's called Toronto Faves and it let's you make a list of some of your favourite places in Toronto to add to your Facebook profile.

The idea is that it makes it easy to show your friends some of the restaurants, bars, cafes, fashion stores, art galleries etc. that you like the most. Some of the key features of the application include:

* It's super easy to create a list of "faves". Add or drop faves from your list at any time. You can even add a fave to your list from the blogTO web site. Just look for the "Add to Faves" button below any of our profiles or reviews like this one for Bacchus, my favourite roti place in Toronto.

* You can look up Top Faves to see a summary of the favourite places that people using the application have selected. Currently, we show Top Faves in three ways - overall, by category (ex. Italian restaurants, vintage furniture stores) and by neighbourhood.

* You can place a comment or review about any of your "faves" withing the Facebook environment and it will be posted to the related page on blogto.com.

* You can easily recommend any of your faves to your Facebook friends and type in a custom message to explain why you're recommending it.

To add blogTO's Toronto Faves application to your Facebook profile, just click on this link (Don't worry, you can always remove it if you don't like it). Or just enter the search term "Toronto Faves" in Facebook's search tool.
