When Art Attacks!

ArtAttackPosterforweb.jpgLooking for an outlet that combines your artistic side with your love of socio-political guerilla protest statements? This weekend, the Toronto Public Space Committee (TPSC) has the event for YOU. In celebration of Media Democracy Day, on Saturday night the TPSC will be transforming the Gladstone into an art factory complete with paper, art supplies and DJs/live music. At the end of the evening the artists will take to the streets to blanket corporate advertising with their creations. So come be a part of an exciting nighttime raid event that will spread art throughout the city and show the proposed anti-postering bylaw what Toronto thinks of it.

The event is FREE and all-ages. For more details visit the TPSC's page HERE.

The biggest threat to public postering is not any city bylaw but the big commercial postering companies like Grassroots, City Postering, and Dr. Jamie's Events who is well known for extorting money out of nonprofit groups NOT to tear down their events posters!

There does need to be a bylaw but only to prevent commercial postering!
