Insta-famous lavender farm in Ontario will reopen later this month

If your perfect summer day involves a scenic picnic on a lavender field, then there's good news: Avalon Lavender Farm in the Ontario city of Mono, will reopen for the 2026 season later this month.

Located about an hour north of Toronto, the family-run farm is welcoming visitors back for another summer of blooming lavender, with sprawling countryside views and fun activities ultimately designed to help you slow down and relax.

Home to over 30,000 lavender plants, this Ontario farm also offers walking trails and plenty of photo opportunities for a dreamy getaway experience.

It's not a stretch to say that the restored 19th-century barn boutique and the Celtic Stone Circle on the property are enough to make visitors feel like they've been transported to Scotland.

One of the most popular experiences returning this year is the farm's lavender-themed high tea. Think Bridgerton, except it's happening right here in Ontario.

Guests can enjoy an outdoor garden picnic featuring tea service and a selection of sweet and savoury bites while surrounded by the farm's purple plants. This year's experience will also feature teas from Ontario-based brand Genuine Tea.

Visitors who love arts and crafts can sign up for paint and sip sessions, and another fan favourite, the farm's vase-making experience, which allows guests to harvest their own lavender and then decorate a vase to hold the plants, right on site.

But remember, these are all add-ons and not mandatory for anyone who's not looking for anything more than a relaxing stroll through the field.

General admission to Avalon Lavender Farm is $17 plus applicable taxes and includes access to the River Walk, the Heritage Barn Boutique, picnic areas, horses and chickens, and a visit to the farm's Celtic Stone Circle. Tickets can be purchased directly through the farm's website.

The farm says guests can also join complimentary evening yoga sessions held in the stone circle on operating days.

Avalon Lavender Farm opens June 19, and is located at 347036 Mono Centre Rd., in Mono, Ont.
