Long-awaited luxury hotel finally open for business in downtown Toronto

A swanky new boutique hotel in Toronto that's been in the works for years has finally opened its doors to the public.

TOOR Hotel, the latest venture from Manga Hotel Group, who own and operate a number of properties around Pearson airport and elsewhere in Ontario, and Canadian hotelier Sukhdev Toor, is finally open for business, bringing a brand-new lodging to the bustling downtown core.

Perhaps the group's most luxurious venture yet, TOOR occupies the lower levels of a 32-storey tower that looms high above its Moss Park neighbours, boasting 232 guest rooms topped by a rental component with 181 suites known as 203 Residences on Jarvis.

The interiors of public spaces in the hotel like the lobby and restaurant  have been thoughtfully designed by mackaywong who guarantee that the new project will be a sight for sore eyes.

According to Manga Hotel Group, the hotel's guest rooms and suites draw inspiration from Toronto's parks and green spaces and include contemporary interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and contemporary comforts like 55" televisions and Nespresso machines.

Similarly, the lobby seems to be an ode to Toronto's natural spaces, too, with a lush green wall installation, floral mosaic and sleek hardwood accents.

On top of all that, the hotel is also home to a number of luxurious amenities, like its in-house restaurant, Muse Bistro + Bar, a 1500 sq. ft. fitness and yoga centre, and a 3000 sq. ft. south-facing terrace.

Muse Bistro + Bar, which occupies 2500 sq. ft. and two storeys, serves as a quick-service lounge area on the ground floor and a more formal "contemporary dining experience" on the second.

It's been a big week for travelers to Toronto (or people in the mood for a staycation) with the recent opening of Union Hotel in the Financial District, followed shortly by TOOR's opening, and, as a room service and hotel robe fanatic, you won't hear a complaint out of me.
