rage room toronto

Toronto is finally getting a rage room downtown after years without one

Toronto just opened a brand-new place downtown to smash away your stress and frustration — quite literally — with a rage room built for breaking things and blowing off steam.

Chaos Studios gives people the chance to let loose in a controlled environment, in rage rooms that can fit up to eight people at a time. Feel like being alone? No problem. You can opt for the Smash n' Dash or One Person Wrecking Ball experience and go on a solo wrecking rampage instead.

Guests can choose from crowbars, hammers, golf clubs, and hockey sticks to take to glass bottles, old laptops, televisions, and more, because honestly, sometimes self-care looks less like a spa day and more like sending a toaster flying.

What makes this experience stand out, though, is its focus on sustainability. The studio collaborates with local restaurants and venues to rescue glassware and decor ready for landfills, an effort to reduce waste while giving items one last dramatic send-off.

If anyone is wondering, you can also bring your own smashable items. The staff will need to approve each piece for safety reasons, and items are subject to a fee.

Now, the next most important part: dress for protection. Since most of the smashing involves glass, comfortable clothing like long pants and closed-toe shoes is a must. All necessary safety gear will be provided on-site.

Once you're suited up — coveralls on, crowbar in hand — you can step into the room, blast your favourite playlist, and let the raging begin.

There are up to five packages to choose from, depending on your group size and how long you want to break stuff. Prices start at $59.99 and go up to $319.99. Time slots can be booked directly through Chaos Studios' official website.

Chaos Studios is located at 923 College St.
