The Toronto Blue Jays are pulling out all the stops in free agency. And if necessary, that might include a bit of leverage from their biggest star.
On Wednesday, free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker posted a workout montage on Instagram, a pretty normal post for any athlete.
Captioned "Full Throttle" with a fire emoji, it'd be a post that wouldn't usually turn too many heads. But with Tucker the top free agent on the market – and one who's been linked for over a month as a possibility to come to the Blue Jays – fans and media have been keeping an eye on his every move.
And early on Thursday morning, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. decided to add a bit of fuel to the fire, adding in an 'eyes' emoji to the comments.

Guerrero's not even the first Jays player this offseason to try to get in Tucker's comments section, but he might be a bit more discreet than the last one.
Last month, when Tucker and his wife Sam announced they had a baby on the way, Blue Jays utility man Myles Straw was pretty direct in his ask. "Let's go!!!!! Now come to the jays," Straw commented. "I can help babysit."
The Blue Jays front office has been a bit more coy about their reported interest in Tucker, however.
When asked directly about him earlier this week at the MLB Winter Meetings, Toronto general manager Ross Atkins wouldn't divulge much. "Getting into the weeds on free agency is something that just sets me up to talk about too much of the market," Atkins said, per MLB.com's Keegan Matheson.
Tucker is coming off a 2025 campaign in which he posted a .266 average with 22 home runs and 73 RBI in 136 games, considered a down year by his standards. But for a player who's made four-straight All-Star appearances, he'll be commanding a big payday wherever he ends up.
