If your New Year's resolution is to start running, then you're in luck! For the first time ever, Exhibition Place will host a special run/walk on New Year’s Day: the Exhibition Place Resolution Run.
Participants will take on a scenic 5-kilometre route across the Exhibition Grounds, finishing under the iconic Princes’ Gates.
More than a run, this aims to be the largest New Year's Day running party in the city. It all kicks off at 9:30 a.m. inside the Enercare Centre with a dazzling light show and a live DJ spinning pump-up tracks, giving you all the energy you need to tackle the course.
This closed-course, chip-timed event is perfect for families, seasoned runners, and anyone just starting their running journey.
Just imagine crossing the finish line under the Princes' Gate — now that's a photo finish moment. And for your effort, all participants will receive a medal to celebrate your first achievement of 2026.
It's also a unique opportunity to do some good, as it is in support of The Children’s Breakfast Clubs, an organization providing healthy meals and programming to GTA kids.
According to The Children’s Breakfast Club founder and president, Rick Gosling, the organization served over 600,000 meals across the GTA last year alone, and demand continues to grow alongside the cost of living.
By supporting their mission and participating in the Exhibition Place Resolution Run, there truly isn’t a better (or more fun) way to help provide hot and healthy meals to local children.
"This event reflects our commitment to creating vibrant experiences that celebrate new beginnings, health, togetherness, and collective energy for a great cause," said Don Boyle, CEO of Exhibition Place.
Registration is now open. Sign up for the Exhibition Place Resolution Run, start your new goals, and support students at the same time.
Even better — free parking is available at the Enercare Centre, making things stress-free from the moment you arrive.
