Come hungry and ready for a good time at Vaughan's first-ever Asian night market, just north of Toronto. It's going to be a weekend of seriously delicious eats, entertainment, and summer vibes.
Celebrate culture at the Lucky Lion Night Market from July 11 - 13 at Vaughan's Assembly Park, open til midnight with free admission for the entire family!
Modelled after night markets in East Asia, these cultural celebrations are all about eating, hanging out, and having fun.
So, what's in store?
How about three days and three nights filled with a truly gigantic amount of food, merchants and vendors, K-pop dance performances, live DJ sets, games (like Fast Hands and Omikuji Japanese Fortunes!), nightly giveaways, and of course, some stunning photo opportunities.
Bringing that lively open-air market vibe to York Region, expect to chow down on street eats like Japanese tacos, onigiri yaki, squid skewers, smelly tofu, and Namwan, to name just a few.
Meander through the market's hall and browse unique goods for sale. With the stars above, keep an eye out for the nightly Chinese lion dance performances by the Hong Luck Kung Fu Association. These dances are from a highly acclaimed group of performers, and also include climbing poles on stage!
This is the first time the Lucky Lion Market is coming to Vaughan, and it's sure to be an event to remember!
For even more night market fun, check out Lucky Lion's other stops at Hamilton's Bayfront Park from August 1 -3, Seneca College in Markham on August 15-17, and at Victoria Park in London from September 12 -14.
