Red Lantern Pub has been a staple of the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood since 1969. The once rather dingy space was given a bit of a facelift in 2010, and now boasts new menus and drink specials. The beer list is not particularly extensive (when Stella Artois is listed under "Premium European" you know you're in trouble) but they have an extensive array of hard liquor and signature cocktails. The menu features the usual pub fodder, ranging from personal pizzas (a longtime signature) to smoked meat sandwiches and burgers.
