Despite Toronto's cooling (read: tanking) real estate market, one Moore Park mansion just defied the odds, selling for nearly its full asking price and double what it went for less than a decade ago.
After only 13 days on the market, the stately home at 192 Glenrose Ave. sold for $6,450,000, slightly below its $6,895,000 asking price.
And while $445,000 difference might sound like a major price cut, it's not uncommon for multimillion dollar houses to sell below asking even in a good market.

Plus, it's worth noting that the $6.45 million sale is a major leap from its 2015 sale price of $3.25 million.

The living room.
So, it just goes to show you that some Toronto properties are still worth those big bucks, especially when they're in good neighbourhoods and come with custom upgrades and serious square footage.

The family room.
Set on a wide 50-by-131-foot lot, 192 Glenrose Ave. offers over 6,500 square feet of renovated living space with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a mix of classic charm and contemporary luxury.

The family room on the second floor.
Though originally built in 1991, the property underwent a full transformation about five years ago, adding designer finishes, custom built-ins, and updated architectural details across all four levels.

The library.
On the main floor, 10-foot ceilings and oversized windows bring in tons of natural light, especially in the formal living room and library, both featuring fireplaces.

The dining room.
A 16-person dining room connects to a family room framed by Palladian-style bay windows.

The kitchen.
The open-concept kitchen includes high-end appliances, a large prep island, and a sunny breakfast area overlooking the backyard.

The primary bedroom.
Upstairs, the primary suite spans the back of the house.

The primary ensuite bathroom.
It includes its own private balcony, a walk-in closet, and a five-piece marble-clad ensuite with a soaker tub.
A bedroom.
Three more bedrooms and a family room finish off the second level.

A bedroom on the third floor.
The third floor features two more bedrooms with skyline views and a full bath.

The recreation room with a fireplace.
The lower level comes complete with a sprawling recreation room, wine cellar, gym, nanny suite, and direct walkout to the garden.

The backyard.
A two-car garage connects to the house through a generous mudroom, making winter boot mess a little more manageable.

The back of the house.
So, in a market where most listings are gathering dust and slashing their prices just to get a nibble, 192 Glenrose Ave. pulled off a rare flex.
