There is a massive Toronto water gun fight returning to Berczy Park this weekend, and everyone is on the guest list. So, if the idea of drenching your friends (and even complete strangers) with Super Soakers and water balloons sounds like fun, this is one event you won't want to miss.
Think of the Toronto WaterGun Fight 2026, organized by Kfir & Urban Playground Team, as the water battle from your childhood, only that it's outgrown your front lawn and is now on a much bigger scale.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive prepared with everything from classic water pistols to homemade water blasters, while those looking to add a bit of spunk to the day can even show up in creative costumes.
Berczy Park will transform into a battle arena, filled with hundreds of participants, where everyone is fair game, but there are strict ground rules everyone must abide by.
Participants are asked to use only water guns, water bottles, and homemade water soakers, while "realistic-looking" toy weapons are strictly prohibited. Organizers also ask that attendees use only clean water, meaning no coloured water, glitter, powders, soap or other additives.
While the event is open to everyone, keep in mind that not everyone visiting the park will be there to participate. Organizers ask guests to respect bystanders (even if they might be experiencing a little FOMO) and keep walkways clear and accessible throughout the event.
If it's your first time joining a large-scale water fight, it's also worth bringing a towel and making sure your phone and other electronics are protected from the inevitable soaking.
The Toronto WaterGun Fight 2026 is a rain-or-shine event taking place on July 11 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Judging by last year's event, which organizers described as "aquatic pandemonium," it's shaping up to be another power-packed water gun fight in the city.
The event is happening at Berczy Park, located at 35 Wellington St. E.
