Music festival season is in full swing in Toronto, and a huge free event with some major stars is happening this weekend for a great cause.
TOgether for Toronto Healthcare, presented by Fitzrovia, is taking over Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, June 6.
The free music and wellness festival is headlined by 11-time Juno winner Feist, Grammy winner Alessia Cara, indie rock icons Broken Social Scene, and music legend Paul Langlois of The Tragically Hip.
According to Adrian Rocca, Fitzrovia CEO, TOgether is an opportunity to celebrate the things that make Toronto special.
"With all the negative noise south of the border, we really wanted to put together an event that featured all Canadian talent," said Rocca. "It felt like we needed a rallying moment as Canadians.
"People have been taking shots at our sovereignty and our health care system, both things I'm incredibly proud of, so this became a kind of Team Canada pep rally to showcase our talent, from musicians and athletes to politicians and health care workers."

The festival aims to raise $1 million in support of Michael Garron Hospital and UHN, which was recently recognized as one of the best hospitals in the world.
Aside from the stellar music, the space will be jam-packed with loads of delicious food trucks, wellness programming and interactive activities to check out.
Attendees who make a donation can potentially win some pretty sweet prizes, including a Dodge Charger Daytona and courtside Toronto Raptors tickets.
Organizers also hinted at surprise guests and "special moments" throughout the day.
TOgether for Toronto Healthcare will take place at Nathan Phillips Square, located at 100 Queen St. W., from noon until late on Saturday, June 6.
