Candlelight concert series returns to historic Toronto venue this month

Casa Loma's celebrated Twilight Symphony at the Castle, described as an "intimate candlelight musical series," returns to the gothic castle-styled mansion later this month.

This winter season, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy candlelit performances by the Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra in the castle's Carriage Room, accessed via a walk through the 800-foot tunnel beneath Austin Terrace. The performances will take place on Friday and Saturday nights starting Jan. 30, alternating between Rock Symphony on Fridays and Broadway to Opera on Saturdays.

Rock Symphony will feature music from classic rock artists such as Queen, Aerosmith, and Pink Floyd, while Broadway to Opera will showcase popular songs from beloved operas and musicals, led by soprano Sara Papini and her partner, tenor Joey Niceforo.

For those seeking an ideal Valentine's Day date night, organizers have curated a Valentine's Day Weekend package that includes a rose and a glass of prosecco for each attendee, which sounds pretty romantic.

Cocktails will be available for purchase on site every night, and guests can elevate their night even further with a luxury dining experience at the in-house Blueblood Steakhouse before the show.

Twilight Symphony at the Castle will run every Friday and Saturday from Jan. 30 through Mar. 7, with performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $70 and go up to $85, plus applicable taxes, and are now available on Casa Loma's official website.

The event takes place at Casa Loma, located at 1 Austin Terrace.
