Glowing forest trail with fire shows and light displays returns to Ontario this winter

The wooded area of an Ontario golf club is about to transform into a glowing display of light and fire.

Fairway of Lights, hosted at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ont., lets guests stroll through the forest surrounding the property on a short trail that features light installations, a chance to interact with costumed characters, and fire performances, all set up within the woodlands.

Although Fairway of Lights runs for two weeks, organizers hope to keep things fresh for return visitors with a variety of experiences depending on the night they attend.

There are three types of tickets available: General Admission, Festival Night, and New Year's Eve. General Admission tickets, priced at $20 per person, are available all season long and include access to the light trail and all activities along the way.

Festival Night tickets, at $35 per person, offer a more elevated winter wonderland experience, which is taking place for one night only: Dec. 21. Visitors can expect to see real-life reindeer roaming the grounds, LED robot shows, and a performance by NorthFIRE Circus, a group of fire show performers who also specialize in LED light shows.

Lastly, New Year's Eve tickets, priced at $40, include all the festivities of Festival Night, plus a movie screening and a fireworks display to ring in the new year.

Tickets are now available for purchase directly on Angus Glen Golf Club's official website

The event runs from Dec. 13 to 31, operating from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily, and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 31.

Fairway of Lights takes place at the Angus Glen Golf Club, located at 10080 Kennedy Rd, in Markham, Ont.
