Dazzling immersive light show to transform majestic old Toronto building

A historic Toronto landmark is set to be transformed by an immersive light and sound show, making its Canadian debut in November.

Eonarium's popular exhibitionEnlightenment, will take over Knox Presbyterian Church on Spadina Ave. next month, arriving in the city after touring multiple European cities, including Florence, Geneva, Munich, and Madrid.

Enlightenment combines advanced projection techniques and music to illuminate the church's interior architecture, turning it into a large-scale light installation.

Visitors can walk through spaces filled with shifting colours, patterns, and sounds, creating a multi-sensory environment blending elements of classical music and nature.

The installation isn't all visual. Each sequence is choreographed to specific music, intended to evoke feelings rather than simply put on a spectacle.

The lightscape plays to the tunes of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, which evidently means that you will experience summer, winter, fall, and spring throughout your journey across the attraction.

Toronto will be the first Canadian city to host this immersive, 30-minute-long experience.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Oct. 14 at 11:00 a.m., and prices start at $21.90. A waitlist has been set up through the official Eonarium website for those interested in attending.

The exhibit officially opens to the public on Nov. 14.

Enlightenment will take place inside Knox Presbyterian Church at 630 Spadina Ave.
