aloha fest toronto 2025

Toronto's only Hawaiian festival returns this month and it's totally free

If you're craving sunshine, island rhythms, and a taste of aloha spirit — without leaving the city — mark your calendars for AlohaFest Toronto, happening Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Mel Lastman Square from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Back for another high-energy edition, this vibrant, all-ages festival is Toronto's only event dedicated to the diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands, and that's enough reason that you don't want to miss it!

Presented by local hula school Hālau Hula I Ka Lā, AlohaFest brings together the dance, music, food, and community spirit of Polynesia for a full-day celebration. Expect a jam-packed schedule of live Polynesian dance and music performances featuring artists from across the GTA and beyond.

Performers will take the stage in colourful regalia to showcase the rich traditions of Hawai'i, Samoa, Tahiti, Fiji, and more.

The festival grounds will also host a curated marketplace of island-inspired vendors offering everything from handmade crafts and jewelry to tropical apparel. And, of course, it wouldn't be a proper island party without food! So bring your appetite and sample flavours of authentic Pacific cuisine, from poke bowls to pineapple-infused treats, it's all things Hawaiian that your taste buds have been craving.

Whether you're reconnecting with your roots or just looking for something unique to do in the city, AlohaFest promises a warm, family-friendly atmosphere filled with unity, joy, and that undeniable aloha energy.

Admission is free, and the event runs rain or shine — so come ready to dance, eat, and soak up the vibes. As they say in Hawaiian: E komo mai! (Welcome!)
