Hundreds of bikes will take over Toronto streets for a huge party this month

Toronto's most joyful underground movement isn't happening in a club; it's actually happening on two wheels and is giving Tour de France (well, almost)!

Bike Party Toronto is back on Saturday, July 12, and if you've ever seen a glowing stream of cyclists cruising through the city blasting music and dressed in wild outfits, chances are you've already had a taste of it.

Think: a mobile dance party, a rolling rave, and a community ride all rolled into one neon-lit night. The concept is simple: you, your bike, a speaker, lights, and a bunch of new friends ready to take over Toronto’s streets and parks on a mystery route that turns into one big roaming celebration.

How's that for a summery Saturday night?

So, how does it work?

Riders meet up at 7:30 p.m. (location to be revealed via email for those who sign up), deck out their bikes in glow sticks, blinkies, LEDs ( basically anything that lights up), and get ready for the ultimate ride of their life.

There's a shared playlist that drops on the event's socials, and once the countdown hits zero, everyone hits play at the same time, and the party-on-wheels will be on their way!

From there? Expect pit stops, spontaneous dance parties, scenic park detours, and lots of vibey cruising through the city. The route is beginner-friendly and welcomes cyclists of all experience levels; you’ll see everyone from casual riders and commuters to costume-clad pros with booming sound systems.

What to bring

Riders should be equipped with a bike (obviously), a speaker (the louder, the better), some lights and glowing gear to make the bike look the part, snacks, water, and a spare inner tube (just in case), and a bike-friendly costume if you're feeling festive

Organizers encourage donations to help keep the event sustainable; signing up for the Bike Party Toronto mailing list is the best way to stay in the loop because that's where all the meetup info and secret details are shared.

So, whether you're a longtime rider or a curious first-timer looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday night in Toronto, this is your sign to join an unforgettable rolling rave. It's like nothing else in the city and one of the most fun, inclusive, and electrifying events on two wheels.
