Entire Toronto neighbourhood hosting enormous garage sale this weekend

More than 100 houses in one Toronto neighbourhood are joining forces this weekend to put on the ultimate garage sale.

Though 2024 may have marked the 25th anniversary for the annual Golden Triangle Giant Garage Sale, the Toronto community demarcated by the boundaries of O'Connor Drive, Pape Avenue and Donlands Avenue (as well as a few homes outside those boundaries) isn't pulling any punches for the event's 26th edition this weekend.

Taking place on Saturday, June 7, over 100 homes spread across 13 streets in the east end neighbourhood are showing off the fruits of their spring cleaning for an epic, one-day garage sale.

Expect everything from gently used sports equipment to new threads, decor, books, and all the weird and wonderful finds you'd expect from a garage sale. The added bonus is that if you don't find anything you like, you can rest assured that there's another sale going on just down the street.

Some homes are even planning to sell food, like homemade baked goods and treats hot off of the barbecue.

At the end of the day, the event's organizers, The Lynn Group Real Estate Team, is collecting any and all unsold items for donation to the Salvation Army, making the whole day a win-win on all fronts.

The festivities are set to run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 7th, but if the weather decides to do that thing it's been doing all spring where it surprises the city with a deluge of rain, there's a rain date scheduled for Sunday, June 8. Happy hunting!
