Toronto's last big street festival of the season is happening this weekend

Kensington Market's Pedestrian Sundays are back for one last time this year, and this time, there's going to be a costume contest.

On October 29, the neighbourhood streets will be car-free for the last run of the season from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., with smaller evening closures from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The monthly car-free street festival celebrates the music, food, and unique Kensington community but the final edition will end the season with a bang, with an all-new costume contest taking place at 4 p.m. outside Courage My Love

You might even win some prizes, too, with first place taking home $1000 in Kensington Market gift cards, and the runner-up winning $250.

A regular feature is a lively parade that'll be led through the neighbourhood by five-piece brass band (and street festival staple), Little Rambunctious.

Also joining the celebrations will be Art Mob, an artsy twist on a flash mob that'll let local artists strut their stuff.

Artists will blend in with pedestrians, concealing their works with backpacks, jackets, or sheets, only to reveal them all at once in a wild artistic frenzy.

If you're looking for more info, like which vendors and artists you can expect to see, check out Pedestrian Sunday's website.
