Toronto is getting a huge fireworks show next week

Firework shows in Toronto are normally relegated to NYE and long summer weekends but this month it seems there's going to be an exception to the rule.

It has been 190 years since the founding of the original Gooderham and Worts distilling company and the Distillery District is throwing a party to celebrate.

The Distillery 190: A Birthday Bash is slated for Sept. 29, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The fireworks display will go down at 8:45 p.m.

If you can’t make it to the birthday bash, worry not. The Distillery District is having their annual Christmas Market later this year. There won't be fireworks but it will include all the usual food vendors and twinkly lights the Distillery Winter Village is known for.
