Polar Bear Dip

New Year's Day Events in Toronto: Polar Bear Dip, Hair of the Dog Run, What's Poppin', Baroque Concert

All is indeed quiet on New Years Day, as the song goes. This one day that it can be hard to find something to do in Toronto, though that's mostly a non-issue as recovering from the night before might dictate a day in bed. For those resilient enough to get out, you can get active during the day either at the Polar Bear Dip at Sunnyside Beach raising funds for Habitat for Humanity, or the Balmy Beach Hair of the Dog Fun Run/Walk that gets going at the Balmy Beach Canoe Club. This afternoon you expand your horizons with some late Baroque music, or save your energy until tonight for What's Poppin'.

Here's what to do in Toronto today.
